Surgery Update

Well it has been a long couple of days. The day of the surgery we were at the hospital for about 14 hours. I think we all came home and dropped to sleep the second our heads hit the pillows.

Both my parents are doing well. The surgery went perfectly according to the doctor. The kidney is working good and my dad is doing great. He moved out of ICU today and that is a good sign. He will still be in the hospital for about a week so that they can monitor him and watch the kidney. My mom had a hard time the first day with being in pain and really groggy from the medication. However today she is doing really well and pretty much off her pain medication. She is up and walking and hopefully will be able to come home tomorrow or Wednesday. Thank you all for the prayers and support. We still have a long way to go in their recovery process but at least the surgery is over and it is all up hill from here.
