Vacation Day 1 Crater Lake

The day after the 4th of July we left for our two week trip to Oregon and Washington.  The first day was a long car ride.  The kids did great considering how much driving we did.  The next day we got up and drove to Crater Lake.  It was beautiful.  The kids thought it was great that there was still snow on the mountain.

 

We ate a nice lunch at the visitors center.

We finally found a spot to stop on the side of the mountain where the kids could play in the snow.  They had a blast.  I love that we are in shorts playing in the snow.

On the way to our hotel we stopped at some beautiful falls.  Claire was asleep so the boys and I hiked and took some pictures. 

We met Bill's parents at the hotel.  This was our view from our balcony.  Not too bad!!
