For our vacation this year we met the Navarro in Redding. It was a good half way point for both of us. It was so great to see them. The last time we saw them was last summer and they had just had their daughter Lexi. She is now a year old and walking. What a difference a year makes!!
We left our house at 4:30 in the morning for the 9 hour drive.
This is the text that I sent my family while on the road.
So far on our vacation... We have been on the road for five hours, two bathroom breaks within one hour of each other, saw a hill on fire by the freeway, saw kittens living behind the dumpster at McDonalds that Bill would not let me take :), Bill is on his 3rd or 4th coffee, Blake does not understand that it takes a long time to get to our hotel, found out that Claire likes egg mcmuffins, and now everyone is sleeping. Pretty eventful trip so far.

| I brought gifts for them to open each day on our trip. The boys received Star Wars books which they were thrilled about and Claire got a baby and bed. |
