Christmas Cookies and a Birthday

We were supposed to go to our friends house to do some Christmas cookie/gingerbread decorating. However Blake got sick and we were unable to make it. Ryan was very sad and so a couple days later I went to Trader Joes and got a cookie decorating kit for only $.99. How can you beat that price!! The boys had fun decorating and eating the cookies.

My mom's birthday is December 23rd and so it always kicks off our holiday celebration. This year we went to the Spaghetti Factory in Newport Beach and then came back to our house for some birthday dessert.There is a house in our neighborhood that does a huge Christmas lights display and they sit out in front of their house as Santa and Mrs. Claus. A really neat thing is that each year he has a banner that says how many years he is Cancer Free. This year the sign said 15 years! We always look for that sign each Christmas. We stopped there on the way home and the kids got to see Santa which they thought was great!!
